Art Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Supervisor

“Hi. I am an HCPC registered, BAAT accredited Art Psychotherapist, a BACP accredited Counsellor and Educationalist (MA and B Ed specialising in Art and in Special Needs Education.) I have over 30 years experience working therapeutically with diverse client groups across the age range, in a wide variety of settings.

Being supported to feel heard, understood and make sense of feelings, experience and behaviour can decrease symptoms, improve mood, self esteem and ways of coping. Art therapy can enable people of all ages and ability to express and explore things it’s difficult to express in words.

My experience with children, young people and adults (within mental health, educational and voluntary settings) includes working with trauma, abuse, special needs, complex difficulties and a wide range of mental health challenges that affect well-being.

I work in an integrative, flexible way so I can be responsive to the needs of my clients, provide what they can best make use of and empower them. The breadth of my experience and trainings enables me to draw from a wide range of approaches (including psychodynamic, person centred, cognitive, mentalisation, psycho-education…).”

Location: I live in the North London area, but can travel to areas accessible by public transport.
