Personal Statement
Hannah Simons
Art Psychotherapist
I trained as a Psychodynamic Art Psychotherapist. I work flexibly, in a non-directive person centred way, integrating trauma informed practices where appropriate. I have a holistic approach to mental health care and enjoy working as part of an MDT.
I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents experiencing mental health difficulties in schools, in the community and in private practice. I am experienced at supporting neurodiverse young people and people with PMLD, including those who are non verbal.
I have also worked with adults who are terminally ill, those grieving the loss of a loved one, adults living with severe enduring mental health difficulties, pregnant and postnatal women and people coping with the effects of trauma and abuse.
I hope to provide containment with gentleness. I aim to facilitate and enable creative exploration as a way to communicate and work through personal difficulties. My strengths as a therapist are emotional attunement, open-mindedness, honesty and compassion.
My private Practice address:
Caya Therapy, Print Village, 58 Chadwick Road, Peckham, London, SE15 4PU.
