About Me
Josh Pulman, HCPC, BACP and BAAT registered
I offer talk therapy and Art therapy. Tears and laughter are welcome.
The aim is to help you feel better in the short and long term. To help you understand
yourself more and get on better with the people in your life. Art is more and more being recognized as an essential part of being a healthy, engaged and contented human being.
Weather you have a chronic condition stopping you from getting out the door or you have a range of feelings that holds you back from being your best self, Art Therapy can play an important part in helping you.
I try and avoid jargon and encourage a straight forward way of talking with you that you can relate to and feel comfortable with. Swearing, jokes, humour, songs and poetry are all a useful ways of expressing yourself in the therapy room and in life.
I am a fully trained and accredited Art Psychotherapist. This means I draw on a range of evidence -based theories and tools to help you with your particular needs. Therapy is both a
deeply intimate and yet professional relationship. I have worked as a professional
photographer for global brands and in the high-pressured construction industry so I know
what the real world is like.
I create a space where you can really talk freely about whatever comes to mind without judgement or condemning voices.
Therapy is both a deeply intimate and yet professional relationship. Art helps us express things going on inside that may be hard to put into words. It can help us understand the world we live in. No art skills needed just the desire to try something new, be that a squiggle, a doodle or a big messy masterpiece.
No art experience necessary. Your life is the experience.
